Adnan Syed is Innocent

I think that Adnan Syed is not guilty, but I think he a bad person. In court, the prosecution used Syed's personality many times, saying that because he did tiny bad things it means he is a killer. I think he had awful judgment, an example of this being that he stole from the collection plate and from people's jackets at his mosque. That proves that he is a person who has done bad things, but not on the level of murder. Just because he was a thief and a liar, does not mean he killed Hae. There are four major pieces of evidence that have convinced me of his innocence....
Alibi: Asia McClain has told both the defense and the prosecution that she saw Syed at the Woodlawn Public Library at the time that he was allegedly killing Hae. Meaning he has an alibi. Syed may not have remembered seeing and speaking to her, but she does. She was never contacted by Syed's original attorney, even though she sent him letters saying she remembered seeing him. There has also been other evidence that confirms that Adnan attended track practice that day arriving at 3:30pm. After seeing McClain in the library, Adnan had to change for practise and then walk to the track, on the other side of the school. There have been other witnesses that saw him on his way to practice, meaning that time frame is accounted for his whereabouts. This alibi means that there is no way that Adnan killed Hae.

Unreliable Cell Towers: The cell tower pings that were used to determine a time frame are "not reliable for determining location." (1). Incoming calls can not determine the location of the receiver. Since the two calls used to place Syed in Leaken Park at the time witness Jay Wilds says they were burying Lee's body were both incoming calls, both calls are unreliable. Meaning there is no way to determine if Syed was really in that Park at that time.
Other Suspects: In most cases of homicide, where there is a female victim, it is the significant other who killed them. Syed was an ex-boyfriend, but the police never looked at Hae's current boyfriend, Don. Even if they had a lot of evidence against Syed, which they did not, the police still should have looked into him. Also, why did the police just believe Jay's testimony? He kept changing his story, with the minor and major details changing. Once he said he helped Adnan bury the body, but the interview before then he said he had nothing to do with the burial. His story also does not match the call logs, so why is he not a main suspect, especially when he already admitted to burying her.

No Physical Evidence: There is no physical evidence in this case linking Syed to Hae's murder, and there are no witnesses who saw them together around the lime of Hae's disapperance/murder. All this evidence that the prosecution has showed is circumstantial. If you look closely at the actual forensic evidence collected, then you would see that every piece of evidence pointed to Adnan's innocence. The hairs on Lee's body, did not match Adnan, to the soil samples from his clothing shoes, car, and room, which did not match the soil from Leakin Park.
I think that all this evidence points to the fact that he is innocent. He may have been a bad person, but he did not kill Hae. I think that the police need to go over the files again, and try and see if Don or Jay had any motive to kill her. Or if there are any other suspects, other than Adnan.
My chosen medium, a blog, allows me to do many things better than other media would. Some of these things are having a clean and well organized look, and they are easy to access. I can express my opinion on the subject in a more personal way, and you can get your point across better on a blog. It is also more personal than an online video, because it is coming straight from the person. It is a better way to source my information, while sourcing on a video is hard to do.
